Marthrown Bunkhouse
Marthrown Bunkhouse has a total of 26 bed spaces spread over 4 rooms:
“Annan” bunkhouse has 8 beds – 4 sets of bunks
“Esk” bunkhouse has 7 beds – 1 single and 3 sets of bunks
“Lower Nith” has 6 beds – 3 sets of bunks
“Upper Nith” has 4 beds – a king size and 3 singles
Bottom sheet, pillow and pillowcase are provided. Duvets and bath towels are available to hire.
Additional Kitchen at the Bunkhouse
We had been aware for some time that pressure for use of the kitchen on busy weekends (particularly when Pam is catering for one group and there are other self catering groups) had caused some stress on all parties. With this in mind we have converted the old pantry – at the opposite end of the dining room to the existing kitchen. This has now been completed and should make meal times a far more relaxed affair in the future.
Nith bunkhouse has a cosy lounge with a wood burning stove for those chilly evenings where you can gather round and chat. There is also a DVD/Video player and a selection of films.
The Esk /Annan Veranda has a multi-fuel stove which heats radiators in those two bunkhouses as well as being a nice place to sit and natter!
To make it easier on Mum and Dad we can provide a cot and a bed guard for families. We also we have a highchair, books, toys and games which you are welcome to use.
Outside there is a play area for football, badminton, volleyball or basket ball along with hot tub, sauna and BBQ area.
